Setting Up Home Assistant wyoming protocol Integration
The process of integrating Home Assistant with Local Voice involves:
Installing Home Assistant OS: Set up Home Assistant on your chosen platform, whether it’s a Raspberry Pi, a virtual machine, or another compatible device (follow one of our guides here)
Configuring Home Assistant: Add your smart devices to Home Assistant using integrations or custom configurations.
Installing the wyoming protocol Integration: Install the wyoming protocol Integration within Home Assistant. This allows your devices to be exposed to wyoming-faster-whisper.
Adding Devices to HomeKit: In the Home Assistant configuration, specify which devices you want to expose to voice assistant, each will utilise the unique method Homekit uses to control the device).
Pairing with HomeKit: On your Apple device, use the Home app to add accessories and select “Don’t Have a Code or Can’t Scan?” to manually pair with Home Assistant.
Enjoying Integration: Once paired, you can control your Home Assistant devices through the Apple Home app and Siri.
