Yeelight wifi Devices LAN Control

enable LAN mode for the yeelight via the Yeelight app

Here are some things you must know:

1. You can only enabe LAN mode for the yeelight  brand product via the yeelight app，not Mi Home app
2. Updating firmware for the yeelight  brand product will not lose LAN control via the yeelight app
3. Updating firmware for the mijia brand product  made by yeelight for mijia brand will  lose LAN control in  yeelight app

Due to the messaging around losing LAN control I never updated my Yeelight lights.

 

Updating firmware will not lose LAN control. Only Xiaomi lights cancel the LAN control function, and now Xiaomi lights do not support access to yeelight app. So the LAN control function of the devices you can see on yeelight app is always supported

3.Some wifi devices belongs to Xiaomi brand by yeelight does not support LAN control in yeelight app

this bulb(Yeelink.light.color3) belongs to Xiaomi brand, according to the latest policies and regulations of Xiaomi, this bulb does not support yeelight app, nor does it support LAN control function.
